A Multidisciplinary Consortium for Sectoral Transformation
GREENSPIRE brings together 10 partner organisations combining deep expertise in Life Cycle Assessment and PEF methodology development, industrial production in home textiles and chemicals, sustainability consulting, digital tool development, and stakeholder engagement. This diversity of perspective is not incidental — it is central to the project’s design. The consortium was assembled to ensure that every output, from the PEFCRs to the digital tools, is simultaneously scientifically robust, technically implementable, and commercially viable.
CTA. Contactica SL
Contactica is a Spanish innovation consulting company specialising in R&D project management, Life Cycle Assessment, and sustainability services. As GREENSPIRE’s coordinator, CTA leads overall project governance and scientific direction, and plays a central role in the development of PEFCRs and digital tools.
UAntwerp. Universiteit Antwerpen
Universiteit Antwerpen is a Belgian public research university with strong expertise in environmental science, sustainability assessment, and life cycle methodologies. Within GREENSPIRE, UAntwerpen contributes to the technical development and scientific validation of both PEFCRs, ensuring alignment with EU and international LCA standards.
BETA. Centre Tecnològic en Biodiversitat, Ecologia, Tecnologia Ambiental i Alimentària
BETA is a Spanish technology centre linked to the University of Vic–Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) and member of the TECNIO network. It specialises in environmental technologies, circular bioeconomy, carbon and water footprint assessment, and applied sustainability research. Within GREENSPIRE, BETA contributes to LCI dataset development, PEFCR methodology, and eco-design strategies.
LIST — Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology
LIST is Luxembourg’s largest public research and technology organisation, active across materials science, environmental research, and digital innovation. Within GREENSPIRE, LIST contributes to sustainability assessment, digital tool development and deployment, and supports the dissemination and exploitation strategy.
BTG — BTG Biomass Technology Group
BTG is a Dutch independent R&D company and consultancy specialising in sustainable energy, biomass valorisation, and bio-based value chains. With extensive experience in Horizon Europe projects and LCA-based sustainability assessment, BTG contributes to the baseline analysis, LCI dataset development, and validation of GREENSPIRE outputs.
QUA — Quantis
Quantis is a leading Swiss-based international environmental sustainability consultancy with deep expertise in Life Cycle Assessment, Product Environmental Footprint methodology, and science-based sustainability strategy. Quantis has participated in the development of multiple EU PEFCRs and brings this methodological authority directly to the GREENSPIRE PEFCR development and validation process.
INV — Inviable Life Cycle Thinking SL
Inviable Life Cycle Thinking is a Spanish technology transfer, innovation consulting, and public funding advisory firm with a strong track record in Horizon Europe projects across life sciences and resource sustainability. Within GREENSPIRE, INV leads dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities — and supports the commercial uptake of the project’s Key Exploitable Results.
CELL — CellMat Technologies
CellMat Technologies is a Spanish R&D company founded in 2012, entirely focused on polymeric foams — from formulation and process design to characterisation and pilot production. With over 50 industrial collaborations worldwide and expertise in rigid and flexible polyurethane foams, CellMat serves as the primary industrial test case for the PU foam PEFCR and the Eco-Design Optimisation Framework within GREENSPIRE.
TMT — Tissage Mouline Thillot
Tissage Mouline Thillot is a French home textile manufacturer contributing primary production data for Life Cycle Inventory development and serving as the key industrial test case for the home textile PEFCR and the Eco-Design Optimisation Framework. TMT’s direct participation ensures that all home textile outputs reflect real manufacturing conditions and are applicable across the sector.
TECHTERA — French Textile Innovation Cluster
TECHTERA is the French textile innovation cluster, bringing together research centres, companies, and academic institutions across the French textile and technical fabric sector. Within GREENSPIRE, TECHTERA supports stakeholder engagement processes for the home textile PEFCR, facilitates broad EU market representation, and contributes to dissemination across the French and European textile industry.
